Our Ministries

The Christian life is not an idle, introverted life. Rather, our Lord set an example of selfless ministry toward both believers and unbelievers. We realize the importance of being active in ministry, whether it is among our own body of believers, in our community, or around the world. Opportunities for ministry abound, and all of our members are encouraged to use their talents and gifts for God in a service that will bear eternal fruit.

Kids

Children are very important to us at Grace Gospel Church. At all of our services, nursery care is provided. We have a Children's Church during the morning Worship Service through grade five. On Sunday evening, our children's choir meets before the evening service, and we have a special children's meeting during the evening service for children up to first grade. Our AWANA program is held each Wednesday evening for children through grade six.

Our Nursery is staffed by a rotating group of ladies who enjoy caring for little ones while parents participate in services and activities worry-free

  • Available during Sunday school and each church service
  • Typical ages are newborn to two years old
  • Nursery workers will feed and change each child as needed
  • Have more questions? Give us a call at 304-522-8635

AWANA

Awana is a global, nonprofit ministry committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love and serve Him. We use Awana at Grace to reach kids, equip leaders, and change the world. A major part of that is the devotional and Scripture memory portion of our Wednesday evening get togethers. But, relationship building is important too which is why there is always time to play games and hang out each. In addition to their weekly meetings on Wednesdays  at  6:30, Awana holds a family skate night each year, awards  night, guest speakers like missionaries and Dan the Science Man, and a monthly "all-meet" where all the groups come together.

The children are split up by age/grade
Cubbies are 3 and 4 year olds
Sparks are K5-2nd graders
TNT are 3rd-6th graders

Sunday School & Children's Church

We have Sunday School classes, beginning at 9:30am,available for all children ages infant-6th Grade. Students are taught using the Generations of Grace curriculum, which leads children through the whole story of God's great rescue mission. This allows children from ages 3-6th grade to study God's plan and purpose for their lives at the same time on their age-appropriate levels. It also provides parents with information and tools to help teach their children throughout the week the same stories and principles being taught each Sunday.

Children's Church begins at 10:30am and is lead by Chris Seaman. This is available through the 5th grade

Grace Kids' Night

The third Sunday evening of every month, we host a "Grace Kids' Night." We learn God's truth through music, drama, fun, and a few surprises. Scripture lessons are designed to be taught and understood by a child, but we're sharing God's truth for "kids of all ages"! This service is a perfect opportunity to invite the young and the young at heart to experience God's love!

Vacation Bible School

VBS is created for kids ages 2-6th Grade and its purpose is to teach children that God's Word is relevant to their lives and answer key questions relating to the Bible! Bible memory time, singing songs, scripture lessons, and drama performances direct children's attention to Christ and their need for Him. Throughout each night, students also participate in different breakout sessions including games, snacks, and crafts which all reinforce the biblical truths being taught.

Youth

Our Teen Ministry

Our youth ministry is put in place to partner with parents to teach and disciple teens. We hope to introduce them to Christ and build and grow their relationship with Him. We offer a separate time of Bible study and fellowship for our teens (grades 7-12) led by Pastor David Brokke. They meet at 9:30 on Sunday mornings and 6:30 on Wednesday evenings. In addition to these regularly scheduled meetings, they have a number of special activities, summer camp, and mission trips opportunities made available. Adult Bible Studies

On Wednesday Evenings,  Adults go through  different Bible studies through the year. At times, all the adults meet together in the auditorium   for Bible study and prayer. At other times, different modules are offered that  adults can choose from. These allow for smaller groups to form to foster greater relationship development as we grow and discuss together. On Wednesday nights, a beginners sign language class is also offered where you can learn the basics of sign language . Some of our interpreters in our deaf ministry started in this class.

Ladies of Grace

The Ladies of Grace encompasses all the "Ladies Only" activities at Grace. It's a great way to get plugged into the community of Grace and find the support and encouragement that is needed in our Christian walk. The Ladies of Grace go through Bible studies throughout the school year as well as host fun events to relax and get to know each other better - and have some good food, too! Check out their page on Facebook to learn more about them.

Men's Activities

Throughout the year, our men gather to pray, eat, and fellowship. They do activities like the "Beast Feast" and "Steak Outs" where they fellowship over great food, ATVs, weaponry, and God's Word. They also have a monthly prayer breakfast. Check out our Sunday Bulletins to find out what's coming next.

Caleb

Caleb Ministry of Grace Gospel Church is our ministry geared to those adults 50 years old and above. We meet monthly, usually on the fourth Thursday of the month. We fellowship and eat together with a different food emphasis each month. We take trips together during the year - one trip for a couple of days, and then some one day trips. Different speakers are brought in to speak on areas that affect our age and also that challenge us from the Word. It is a good informal setting to fellowship with one another.

Shepherd's

Jesus met the needs of each person right where they were, with things they could easily understand. This class, led by Diane Ward, meets every Sunday morning at 9:30 am, and is specifically designed for our friends with special needs. Class members will enjoy a range of interests including interactive lessons, activities, and music.

Please contact the church office at 304.522.8635, for more information.
